Danilee and Jason | October 30, 2021

Danilee and Jason’s big day was special for a lot of reasons. For one thing, though this COVID wedding took place on a rainy day over 18 months after the pandemic was declared, it was exuberant. In fact the bride will never forget “the joy of dancing the night away after a long time without it” and “running outside in the rain on the streets by the canal, with all the cars honking horns and flashing lights in celebration.”
As the lovely pictures by Lauren McCormick reveal, the occasion was full of love, pleasure and jubilation. Even the rain-slick streets shone brightly. Indoors, the elegant, formal event featured a rich colour palette of green, gold and black. There were 80 guests, and for Danilee, one of the highlights was “entering the ceremony and reception to see all of our loved ones gathered together after all the lockdowns and worst of the pandemic.” Other favourite parts of the day were the father-daughter dance, and, the bride adds, “seeing my dad keep the party going on the dance floor until shutdown!”
While planning a wedding can be challenging, especially a COVID wedding, Danilee notes, “It is so worth it to have your special day and bring joy and celebration to all your family and friends.”
