“Miranda and Richard’s wedding was special due to its deeply personal touches, from the hand-designed stationery to cultural elements like the red string of fate, symbolizing their destined connection. It truly reflected their unique love story,” according to wedding photographer Emma Haider.
“We put a lot of effort into ensuring the details honoured our culture,” the bride and groom explain. “For example, the oranges symbolize prosperity and the favours, engraved chopsticks, were a nod to our heritage.”
Since Miranda is a user experience designer, naturally the wedding guest experience was a top priority. To that end, the bride thoughtfully designed stationery and signage, the couple carefully chose both the menu and signature drinks, and they planned a fun, interactive game for guests during dinner.
The theme of the wedding was Enchanted Fairytale Spring Garden. And it was achieved in fresh, vibrant, gorgeous style thanks to a colour palette of peach, pink, lilac and tangerine with gold accents, lush floral installations, personalized details crafted by Miranda and the venue overlooking a cliffside valley.
Some of the day’s enchantment happened on the dance floor. “We surprised our guests with a choreographed Viennese waltz, for our first dance, that took us six months to prepare,” the couple mention. It was flawless, Emma notes, and guests were wowed.
Undoubtedly, they were also charmed by another unique and inclusive element: Instead of tossing a bouquet, Miranda tossed two stuffed animals—rabbits—to symbolized peace and prosperity.
“We enjoyed the whole day,” Miranda and Richard note. “The dinner and first dance were probably the highlight as we were able to play some fun games, eat great food and entertain our guests with our first dance.”
