Since Valentina is the talent behind Valentina’s Creations, a business that creates custom wedding décor, she put her skills to use for her own big day. “I created all the signage for our wedding and worked very closely with our decorator to bring all aspects together to fit our theme,” she explains. “I hand-crafted all the acrylic place cards as well.” 
The colour palette encompassed soft, creamy tones with hints of champagne, mauve, nude and white, and unique elements included floral hoops for the bridesmaids instead of bouquets, with greenery wreath boutonnières for the groomsmen. But one highlight of the day was Valentina’s favourite: “I surprised my husband with a live saxophone player for our first dance.” As the couple took to the outdoor dance floor under the Edison bulbs, saxophonist Brady Leafloor emerged from the crowd playing their song, John Legend’s You and I.
